June Prompt
First of all, my apologies to all of you lovely people who have been patiently waiting for me to post this month’s challenge. My brain is a distracted sieve at the moment and while I could come up with an elaborate excuse for why this post is five days late I won’t because that would be fiction. I just kept forgetting to do it when near a computer. So without further introduction…the prompt.
JUNE PROMPT
In the Internet age, thinkpieces are regularly written about how the art of letter-writing is dead. But is it? I would argue that in today’s online world, textual communication has a renewed importance in courtship as emails, text messages, chat programs, blog comment threads, and other types of communication requiring a QWERTY keyboard proliferate! And if online communication is not to your – or your characters’ – taste, or your characters live in a world without email, perhaps postcards, handwritten letters, typewritten messages, telegrams, or post-it notes carry special meaning instead.
This month’s challenge is to write a fic told exclusively through an exchange of text-based (emojis and doodles allowed!) communiques. How do your characters write when they write to one another?

Looking forward to this one, but first I need to get May done.
